About Brain Injury

A brain injury can be devastating— for the person affected and their family and friends.

It can affect how someone moves, speaks, thinks and acts. Some changes may be temporary. Some may be permanent. There can be plenty of stress and frustration along the way.

This section of the website is designed to help.

You’ll find information here to help you through the recovery process—whether you are the person with the acquired brain injury or someone in your family who is affected.

The information may be useful at different times during the recovery process. You may decide to read all the information at once. Or you may want to come back and look at sections as they become relevant to you. As well as the information on this site, you’ll also find links to other resources and organizations.
