Congratulations to our Chair
Hedy Chandler, Chair of the Toronto ABI Network, recently celebrated 30 years as Executive Director of Community Head Injury Resources Services (CHIRS).
The milestone was marked at a gathering of former associates, current clients and friends and families.
CHIRS (formerly Ashby House) was established in 1978 as the first community-based brain injury rehabilitation program in North America. Under Hedy’s leadership it has grown from a transitional group home to a multi-service agency that provides a wide range of supports for individuals with brain injury. A not-for-profit, CHIRS is funded by Central LHIN and the MOHLTC.
