Webinar: Acquired Brain Injury, Mental Health & Substance Use: Partnering to Support Individuals with Complex Needs
This session aimed to increase awareness and understanding of acquired brain injury (ABI), its prevalence in mental health and substance use populations, and how the presence of an ABI can impact client engagement, care delivery and outcomes.
Practical strategies were provided to enhance:
- Understanding of how neurocognitive impairment impacts client engagement and delivery of care
- Knowledge of assessment tools and accommodations currently available to better support individuals with neurocognitive impairments
- Knowledge of specialized supports and how to connect with specialized service providers
