June is Brain Injury Awareness Month

June is Brain Injury Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness of acquired brain injury (ABI) and recognize the strength, resilience, and experiences of the individuals, families, caregivers, and professionals affected by brain injury.

ABI can have a profound and lasting impact on every aspect of a person’s life. For many individuals and families, recovery is an ongoing journey that may involve navigating complex health, rehabilitation, and community support systems.

The Toronto ABI Network is proud to work alongside organizations across the GTA and beyond to improve access to services and supports for people living with acquired brain injury. Throughout June, we encourage our members, partners, and communities to help raise awareness, share information, and foster greater understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing those affected by brain injury.

We would also like to thank the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) for its ongoing leadership in promoting Brain Injury Awareness Month and for providing resources to help individuals and organizations participate in awareness activities across the province.

Together, we can help increase awareness, reduce stigma, and support a more informed and inclusive community for people living with acquired brain injury and their families.
