Network launches new personal injury lawyer database
As part of Brain Injury Awareness Month, the Toronto ABI Network has launched a new personal injury lawyer database to provide an unbiased resource for individuals and families requiring the services of a personal injury lawyer.
The new database replaces the one created by the Network in 2013 in collaboration with Toronto’s three trauma hospitals. For this new, more comprehensive database, the Network held focus groups and gathered input from individuals with lived experience of ABI, as well as front line health care and community service providers. The result is improved listings that reflect the information users want and need.
Lawyers/law firms across the province now pay an annual listing fee to cover the costs of maintaining the database and to support the ongoing work of the Network. The database will continue to expand as new listings are added.
The database provides a valuable resource to individuals with ABI and their family members, as well as the health care and community service providers who support them. The Network’s website also provides useful information and tips, to help individuals navigate the often confusing process of selecting a qualified personal injury lawyer.
