Toronto ABI Network welcomes new staff
The Toronto ABI Network is pleased to welcome two new staff to the team. Linda Ngan joins the Network as Project/Data Coordinator and comes to us from the University Health Network – Toronto Western Hospital where she worked as a physiotherapist across multiple patient populations including orthopaedics, rheumatology, cardiology, stroke and neurosurgery. Bringing a unique combination of skills, interests, and professional and personal experiences to the role, Linda has a particular passion for identifying and implementing clinical processes and system improvements that make a positive difference in our health care system. Linda will help support referrals as well as oversee data collection and reporting.

With Julie Osbelt departing on maternity leave as of June 24, 2013, we are pleased to welcome Brigitt Degeus who will assume the role of ABI Referral Coordinator to cover Julie’s leave. Brigitt joins us from Toronto Rehabilitation Institute where she was a social worker in the outpatient neuro-rehabilitation day program supporting individuals with an acquired brain injury or multiple sclerosis. Brigitt offers a wealth of experience working with individuals who have neurological disturbances and concurrent issues that include substance abuse, phychiatric disorders and significant psychosocial concerns.
